Pumpkin-on-a-stick, the Solanum aethiopicum, is a plant primarily used for ornamental purposes. You'll see the dried branches with the fruit attached used in flower arrangements and especially in autumn decorations. The fruits are also used without the branches, as ornamental fruit. The fruits can also be eaten, as is done in Asia, where both the fruit and the leaves are eaten. The name might suggest a pumpkin on a stick, but the comparison with a tomato is perhaps even more fitting.
